The Standard Porta Potty is the everyday unit, with a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder, and sanitizer. It suits framing crews, grading work, and small gatherings.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty gives a wide door, a flat entry, grab bars, and turning space for a wheelchair. Include one anytime the public is welcome.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a flushing bowl and stronger odor control, which guests notice at a wedding or a company party.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink puts the sink, soap, and mirror inside, so guests can wash up without stepping outside again.

On private property, a porta potty almost never needs a permit in Tucson. That covers your driveway, a fenced job site, a ranch, or a private lot.
City streets and sidewalks: The City's Permits and Codes Section manages work in the public right-of-way and issues the permits for it. The office sits at 255 West Alameda Street and answers at 520-791-5100. If your event needs a street closed, a right-of-way permit goes in alongside the event paperwork.
Events: Event applications should reach the City at least 60 days ahead, and no earlier than a year out. Larger gatherings, including those over 200 people or any that close a road, run through the City's business events route. Call 520-791-4873 and choose option 3 with questions. The City also expects events to follow Pima County Health Department guidelines.
Outside the city limits: Pima County requires its own special event permit for an organized event that affects a public street or right-of-way in the unincorporated county. Events inside Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita, South Tucson, or tribal land go to that government instead.
State highways: Work in the right-of-way of an interstate, US route, or state route needs an encroachment permit from the Arizona Department of Transportation district office covering that stretch.
Food vendors: Temporary food permits come from the County's Consumer Health and Food Safety Division at 520-724-7908, and every booth needs its own handwashing setup.

Placement decides how the whole rental goes.
Set units on firm, level ground. Caliche and packed gravel hold well; fresh fill and soft wash sand do not. Leave the driver a clear approach with turning room, and remember that a monsoon downpour can cut a dirt route for a day.
Keep units at least 15 feet from food service and away from wells, washes, and storm inlets. On a job site, put them within about 200 feet of the work so nobody walks the length of the parcel in August sun.
A standard rental includes one service visit a week. The driver pumps the tank, washes the interior, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Summer heat, large crews, and alcohol at an event all argue for a second visit, and we can schedule that from the start.
Arizona licenses the haulers who move this waste. The state's environmental agency issues a septage hauler license covering waste from portable chemical toilets, with a separate license for each truck. In Pima County, inspectors check those trucks, the license number has to appear on the back and both sides of the tank in three-inch numbers, and the County publishes the list of approved dump sites for liquid waste haulers. Household and business sewage in town goes a different route, through County plants such as Tres Rios, which treats about 30 million gallons a day for metropolitan Tucson.
