Most building debris and household junk is fine to load. The limits come from state rules and from what the county landfills accept.
The county's construction debris landfills turn away several items. They won't take hazardous materials or liquids, oil, paint, batteries, asbestos, household garbage, or barrels that can still hold liquid. Electronics are allowed, but they must be separated from other debris when the load arrives.
Tires need special handling. The Alabama Department of Environmental Management runs a scrap tire program that regulates how tires are moved and disposed of. Only approved landfills take them, so keep tires out of mixed loads.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster.
If you're unsure about an item, ask your account manager before it goes in.
