You can load most household junk and building debris. What's left out comes from Indiana's disposal laws and from the rules at the site that takes your load.
Indiana has a strict rule on electronics. Since 2011, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management has barred households and small businesses from throwing away TVs, computer monitors, computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and fax machines. Take them to an electronics recycler instead.
Tires have a rule of their own. The state doesn't let landfills accept whole waste tires, so keep them out of the dumpster or tell us about them first.
The usual exclusions apply too. Don't load hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, car batteries, or asbestos. Appliances that hold freon, like refrigerators and window air conditioners, need special handling as well.
