Home Areas We Service Delaware Porta Potty Rental Newark, Delaware 19711

At Prime Dumpster, we provide porta potty rentals across Newark, Delaware, and the northern New Castle County neighborhoods around it. Construction crews on campus and apartment work, contractors renovating older homes off Main Street, road and sewer projects, festival events downtown, block parties, race and walk weekends, and farm properties out toward White Clay Creek all keep units working here.
Unit type and quantity start the price, but what really moves it is how long you keep the units and how often we clean them. Below you will find the ranges, the count Newark itself requires, the permits that apply, and our delivery window.
Each figure above covers a standard three-day hold. Newark weekends are usually written that way, so a Saturday block party and a Friday-to-Sunday festival rarely differ in price.
Construction work runs on four-week cycles instead, with one cleaning trip a week built in. Over a long campus or apartment job, the cleaning frequency is what shifts the invoice.
Access changes the math as well. A drop on a paved lot near Delaware Avenue is fast. A tight rowhouse alley, a fenced site behind a locked gate, or a field off a gravel lane out past the city limits takes longer to reach and to service.
Newark is also one of the few cities with a published toilet count for events, which means the order often sizes itself. Your account manager will match the count to the City's number and quote the extras, the handwashing stations and any accessible units, before you commit.

Request a Quote NowNewark takes the guesswork out for events, which is unusual and helpful.
The application also asks outright whether sanitary facilities will be available and how they are set up, so have the answer ready. Our porta potty calculator gets you a working figure, and your account manager can hold it up against the City's minimum.

Seven models cover the work. Our porta potty options page compares them in one place.
The Standard Porta Potty handles ordinary days: a single stall with a toilet, a urinal, a paper holder and sanitizer. Most crews and small gatherings need nothing more.
The ADA-Compliant Porta Potty gives up width for a level doorway, grab bars and a turning circle. Any event the public can attend should carry one.
The Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty adds a real flush and far better ventilation, which guests notice at a reception or a graduation party.
The Deluxe Porta Potty with Sink keeps the basin, soap and mirror inside the stall, so nobody walks across the site to wash.
The Solar Porta Potty runs its light and fan off a panel, which is the answer at a farm, a creekside site, or a lot with no power.
The Handwashing Station stands alone with fresh water, soap and towels. Delaware expects one at every food stand, so plan on it.
The Restroom Trailer brings several stalls, plumbing and climate control, and it makes a real difference at a wedding or on a long project.
Unsure how to combine them? Run the day past your account manager and they will size the order.
Newark draws a clearer line around private property than most cities, and it is worth knowing where that line sits. A gathering counts as a private social gathering, needing no permit, only when it stays entirely on private property, uses no City street beyond lawful parking, charges no fee or donation, and draws 150 people or fewer. Cross any one of those and you are in permit territory, even in your own back yard.
Special events: the City's permit process covers parades, block parties, fairs, festivals, concerts, races and walking events. The application carries a $125 non-refundable fee paid at filing, asks for at least 45 days' notice, and may require proof of insurance of at least $1,000,000 naming the City as co-insured. Forms go to the Police Department, and the Special Enforcement Division Commander takes questions at 302-366-7100.
State roads: DelDOT maintains 89 percent of Delaware's road miles, far above the roughly 20 percent most states manage, so many streets around Newark are state roads. An event on or beside one needs a DelDOT special event permit, filed with the Traffic Safety Section at least 90 days out, and the organizer can be billed for the temporary traffic control.
Food vendors: anyone selling or handing out food needs a temporary food handling permit from the Delaware Health Department office at 258 Chapman Road, 302-283-7110. The state also wants a handwashing station at the stand with warm water, a catch basin, soap and paper towels, and employee toilets that are convenient and easy to reach.
Tents and alcohol: a single tent or canopy over 400 square feet needs a City building permit, and alcohol is not allowed on City parkland at all.
If you cannot tell which of those applies to your address, ask your account manager and they will point you at the right office.

Start with level, firm ground. The soils along White Clay Creek hold water, and a unit that settles after a wet week is unpleasant to use and harder to pump.
Then think about the truck. It needs a straight approach and headroom, so low branches, narrow alleys and cars parked tight to the curb all matter. On a job site, keeping the walk under 200 feet saves the crew real time across a week.
Keep a 15-foot gap between any unit and food service, and stay well back from wells, the creek and storm inlets. At an event, spreading units out shortens every line, and the accessible unit belongs on a level, solid path.
Cleaning runs weekly as standard. Each trip empties the tank, scrubs and disinfects the interior, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Large crews and busy festival weekends usually justify a second trip.
As for the waste, Delaware licenses the people who handle it. A Class F liquid waste hauler license from the state covers removing, transporting and disposing of what comes out of a portable toilet. Newark's own sewage flows through the City's collection system into New Castle County's network, which serves more than 122,000 customers and moves about 50 million gallons a day through 1,800 miles of gravity sewer. Your account manager can set service days that suit your schedule.

Most Newark orders go out within 24 to 48 hours of booking. Three to five days makes a job site comfortable. For a Main Street festival, a spring race weekend, or graduation, plan several weeks ahead, because those dates go first in a college town.
Five habits that make the drop go well:
Prime Dumpster delivers porta potties throughout Newark and the surrounding New Castle County communities, including Bear, Glasgow, Christiana, Pike Creek, Hockessin, Elkton, and Middletown. Whether your site is near the university, on a build along the SR-896 corridor, or at a property out toward the Maryland line, we fit delivery, cleaning, and collection around your calendar.

Standard units in Newark average $199 to $349, and accessible units $200 to $300. Deluxe models run $300 to $400, and a restroom trailer starts at $1,500. Those figures assume a three-day hold. Count, length and cleaning frequency decide the rest, and your account manager settles it on a free quote.
Newark sets a floor of two portable toilets for the first 100 people expected, plus one for each additional 100. For comfort we suggest going further, nearer one unit per 50 guests over four hours, with 15 to 20 percent more when alcohol is served. Add a handwashing station wherever food is served.
Delaware follows the federal construction standard. One toilet covers a crew of 20 or fewer. Above 20 workers, plan one toilet and one urinal for every 40 people. Set them near the work face, and tell your account manager if headcount grows partway through the project.
Weekly service is standard. Each visit empties the tank, scrubs and disinfects the interior, and restocks paper and sanitizer. Large crews, multi-day festivals and humid summers often call for a second trip. Units booked for a single weekend arrive clean and are handled at collection.
Usually not, but Newark is stricter than most. A gathering on private property stays permit-free only if it uses no City street, charges nothing, and stays at 150 people or fewer. A single unit for your own household or job site is fine. Once it sits in a street or park, approval is needed.
The standard model is a narrow single stall with a toilet, a urinal and sanitizer. The accessible model is built wider, with a level doorway, grab bars and turning space for a wheelchair. At a public event roughly one in every 20 should be accessible, and no cluster should be left without one.
A weekend is booked as three days here, so Friday to Sunday costs close to what Saturday alone would. Standard units average $199 to $349, deluxe flushing units $300 to $400, and a handwashing station $150 to $250. Your account manager will confirm the delivery and collection windows.
Tell us about your event or project and your zip code. One call is usually enough to settle the count, the schedule, and the price.
Your Prime Dumpster account manager handles the details, from unit count and service schedule to permit contacts and delivery timing, so you can focus on your event or project.
