Wood, drywall, roofing, flooring, cabinets, fixtures, carpet, and general cleanout debris are all welcome. The exclusions are the usual ones plus a few local specifics.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos never go in a container. Neither do wet paint cans, propane tanks, or anything still under pressure.
Sand Springs gives those items somewhere to go. The City's recycling center on East Morrow Road is open to the public seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and takes motor oil up to five gallons, household and automotive batteries, cooking oil, electronic waste, cardboard, glass, and metal cans. The Tulsa Metropolitan Environmental Trust answers questions about it at 918-584-0584.

If an item has you second-guessing, put it aside and ask your account manager before it goes over the rail.
