The 10-Yard Dumpster is small enough for a short suburban driveway. Use it for one bathroom, a shed teardown, or dense material such as concrete, block and soil.
The 15-Yard Dumpster fits a two-car garage cleanout, a deck removal, or flooring and trim pulled from several rooms.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is the size most Village homeowners end up with. It swallows a full basement cleanout or a kitchen remodel with room left for the packaging.
The 30-Yard Dumpster is for additions, whole-house renovations and new builds, where framing scrap and drywall stack up fast.
The 40-Yard Dumpster is our largest container. Industrial and commercial crews along the interstate use it for tear-outs and plant cleanouts that make a lot of bulky, light waste.

Put the container on private property, such as your driveway or a fenced site, and the Village asks nothing of you. The right-of-way is where it changes, and that boundary is farther into your yard than most people think.
The Village of Mount Pleasant explains on its right-of-way page that public right-of-way on a Village street usually reaches 10 to 20 feet past the curb, so part of what looks like your front lawn is public land. A Village permit is required to dig up or otherwise change that strip, and the Department of Public Works can order the removal of anything left in it.
If your street is a county or state highway rather than a Village street, the permit may come from one of those agencies instead. That is worth checking before a delivery date is locked in.

Wisconsin bans more from its landfills than most states, and those bans apply to businesses and households alike.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources keeps cardboard, office paper, newspapers, magazines, glass containers, aluminum and steel cans, and plastic containers marked one and two out of landfills entirely. Electronics, lead acid batteries, major appliances, used oil filters, waste oil and waste tires are banned too.
Yard waste is on the list as well, covering grass clippings, leaves, garden debris and brush under six inches thick. It has to go to an approved compost site instead.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel and asbestos are never allowed in a roll-off container.
The Village runs a free antifreeze and waste oil drop-off for residents, and it joins the Racine Wastewater Utility for household hazardous waste events during the warmer months. For anything you aren't sure about, your account manager can check it before the container is loaded.

The state's most recent landfill tonnage report shows the county's landfill receiving nothing at all, so loads from Mount Pleasant now travel out of the county to licensed landfills in Kenosha, Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.
