When the dumpster sits on your own lot, like a driveway or a gravel pad, you typically won't need a City permit. Placing it in the street or another part of the public right-of-way is a different story.
For right-of-way work, the City of Apache Junction issues a Right-of-Way Encroachment Permit through the Public Works Department's Engineering Division on East Baseline Avenue. The City's encroachment permit application lists a $50.00 application fee and asks that Public Works be told 24 hours before work begins. Barricades must meet the City's requirements.
