Here's what goes into the price of a Fort Smith dumpster.
Size comes first. A bigger container costs more, but getting the size right the first time saves you from overage charges or a second haul.
Weight matters too. Brick, tile, soil, and shingles are heavy and can max out a small container while there's still room on top. Tires and appliances need special handling, so tell us about them when you call.
The landfill is City owned. Most loads from Fort Smith go to the City of Fort Smith Sanitary Landfill, and the City sets its disposal rates by ordinance each year. For a sense of scale, the City landfill charges residents with an active sanitation account $12.47 for a pickup, car, or SUV load. That's a discount rate for residents hauling their own debris, not a rental price.
Local hauling rules also play a part. Fort Smith requires any company that collects and hauls waste in the city, including roll-off containers, to hold a City franchise permit. Your account manager will confirm how that rule applies to your project before you book.
