Most household and building debris is accepted. The limits come from Arkansas law and from the regional landfill's own rules.
The NEA Regional Solid Waste landfill takes all materials except hazardous waste and grass clippings. Asbestos and other special waste need approval from the landfill's engineer before they arrive, and they're billed at a much higher rate, so they can't go in a regular load.
Tires have their own rule in Arkansas. State law says tires can only be disposed of at a permitted tire processor, a tire collection center, or a permitted disposal facility. The landfill doesn't take tires between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., so tell us if you have any.
Electronics are a gray area. The Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality says the state was given the power to ban electronic waste from landfills, but that ban hasn't been put into place. Recycling TVs and computers is still the better choice.
Keep paint, motor oil, solvents, fuel, poisons, other liquids, and batteries out of your container.
