Most construction, remodeling, and cleanout debris is fine to load. Arkansas rules and the landfill's own limits decide the rest.
Arkansas doesn't let whole tires go into a landfill unless they've been shredded or split first, so keep tires out of your dumpster. Electronics are different here than in many states. The Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality says its electronics landfill ban hasn't been put in place, so household e-waste can go out with other items unless a landfill restricts it. Recycling is still the better choice.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster. The City's own guidelines also keep car batteries, wet paint, used oil, and tires out of household carts.
The City's recycling center takes several of these items for residents, including used tires, motor oil, antifreeze, fluorescent tubes, and household electronics. Appliances can go there too once the Freon is removed.
