Most household junk and remodel debris can go in your dumpster. The limits come from Latah County's rules and a short list of universal exclusions.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos never belong in a standard dumpster.
Latah County says electronics must be recycled and are no longer accepted as garbage at any facility. That covers TVs, monitors, and computers. Take them to the Moscow Recycling Center at 401 North Jackson Street, open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The county runs a free household hazardous waste program at 3299 Highway 8. It takes oil, antifreeze, oven cleaners, pesticides, and anything combustible. It's open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday from April through October, and the first Saturday of the month from November through March.
Idaho leaves tire decisions to local landfills, so mention any tires when you book. If you're unsure about an item, ask your account manager before it goes in the container.
