Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, motor oil, and pesticides can't go in a standard dumpster either. Whitman County residents can drop household chemicals at the county's hazardous waste counter at no charge, Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Electric vehicle batteries aren't accepted there.
