A dumpster on private property, such as your driveway, generally doesn't need a City permit in Sammamish. You'll need one if the container sits in the public right-of-way, including the street, shoulder, or sidewalk.
The City of Sammamish issues a Type A Right-of-Way Use permit for PODs and dumpsters in the right-of-way. You apply and schedule inspections online through My Building Permit.
Watch where the right-of-way starts. The City notes that it often reaches past the curb onto what looks like your front yard, and a water meter usually marks it. Part of your driveway may count.

Car batteries and other rechargeable batteries are refused, and asbestos needs county approval first.
