Most debris from a remodel or cleanout is fine to load. The limits come from Washington's disposal rules and from King County, which runs the facilities that take Burien's trash.
King County's disposal restrictions turn away TVs, computers, monitors, laptops, cell phones, and tablets. Businesses can't throw away tires at all, and large truck tires aren't accepted from anyone. Loads with more than six mattresses in a day need the county's approval first.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, motor oil, propane tanks, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster either. Treated wood and fluorescent bulbs are on the county's restricted list, too.
Bow Lake also asks that cardboard, clean wood, scrap metal, and yard waste be sorted out for recycling instead of tossed in as trash. If you can keep those separate, tell us when you book.
