Here's what changes the cost of a dumpster in El Mirage.
Start with the container. Larger sizes cost more, but a container that's too small can force a second haul, and that usually costs more than sizing up once.
Then think about weight. West Valley projects tend to produce block, stucco, tile, pavers, and landscape rock, and all of them are heavy. Once a load passes its included tonnage, overage charges kick in.
Landfill fees are part of every load. The nearest city-run landfill, in Glendale, charges $55.58 per ton in 2026, with a minimum charge of $50.58 per visit. El Mirage isn't one of the cities with a partner agreement there, so loads from El Mirage pay the full rate.
Street placement adds City fees. El Mirage's fee schedule, effective July 1, 2026, lists a $50 residential engineering permit and a $25 application review. If a container closes a sidewalk or alley, traffic control runs $20 a day, and a roadway restriction is $75 a day. A spot in your driveway avoids all of it.
