Most household junk and construction debris can go in your container. The limits come from Nevada's landfill rules and from what the city landfill will take.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos are off limits in any standard dumpster. Pressurized tanks, such as propane cylinders, should stay out too.
Tires need extra care in Nevada. State law makes it a misdemeanor to willfully dump a waste tire in a municipal landfill in counties that run a waste tire permit program. Set tires aside and mention them when you book, so we can plan how they're handled.
One more local rule is worth knowing. The City's garbage and sewer page says it's unlawful to toss garbage into a trash container that belongs to another property owner. Your dumpster is for your project, so neighbors shouldn't be filling it.
