The 10-Yard Dumpster fits a bathroom remodel, a spare room cleanout, or a patio tear-out. It's the right choice for rock, concrete, or pavers, since heavy loads hit the weight limit before the container is full.
The 15-Yard Dumpster works for a garage cleanout, carpet and tile removal, or a small roof.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is a common pick for whole-home cleanouts and remodels that span several rooms.
The 30-Yard Dumpster handles large renovations, additions, and new home construction.
The 40-Yard Dumpster is our largest size. It's built for commercial projects, big demolition jobs, and major cleanouts.

If the dumpster sits on private property, like your driveway or a building lot, you don't need a permit in Washington. The City's permit form says a permit isn't required when the container is on private property and out of the City right-of-way.
If the container has to go in the street, park strip, or sidewalk area, you'll need a Dumpster/Building Material Encroachment Permit from Public Works. The City's permit form lists a $500 fee per site and a bond of at least $5,000. The permit lasts six months. The City says it isn't guaranteed and is meant as a last resort after every option on the lot has been tried.
Each street placement also needs a traffic control plan, and a container can't block a travel lane or sidewalk. The permit form also warns of a $1,000 a day violation fee for not following the rules. Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, motor oil, propane tanks, batteries, and asbestos stay out of a standard dumpster.
The Washington County Landfill limits tires to no more than 12 at a time, and it charges for each one. Appliances with Freon are accepted for a per-unit fee instead of the regular tonnage rate. Paint has its own per-gallon fee and a separate exchange program.
Pull out tires, Freon appliances, and paint cans before you load, and mention them when you book so we can plan for them.
