The 20-Yard Dumpster is a favorite in Lehi for finishing a basement or remodeling several rooms at once.

When the dumpster sits entirely on private property, like your driveway, you won't need a City permit. If it reaches into the street, sidewalk, or park strip, Lehi's rules for the right-of-way apply.
Lehi City handles work in the street through its Streets Department, which links to the City's Right of Way Encroachment Permit application. The form is only offered from April 1 through November 30, so plan a driveway placement for winter projects.
The application is written mostly for street cuts and repairs, and it doesn't list a separate fee for a container. Call the Streets Department at 385-201-1900 to ask what a dumpster in the street needs. The office at 2538 North 300 West is open Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays by appointment.

Most construction and household debris is fine to load. The North Pointe transfer station and basic safety rules set the limits.
The district's FAQ says it accepts electronics, mattresses, and appliances, but they carry extra handling. Appliances with refrigerant, like old fridges, carry a separate fee to remove it. Household hazardous waste is accepted only on a limited basis, with oil and antifreeze in amounts under one gallon.
Tires come with limits. The transfer station takes regular car and pickup tires from non-commercial customers, but it won't accept tires larger than a 24-inch rim.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster.

Lehi is a member city of the North Pointe Solid Waste Special Service District, which serves northern Utah County. Household garbage from member cities is processed at the district's transfer station in Lindon.
The North Pointe Solid Waste Transfer Station is at 2000 West 200 South, Lindon, UT 84042, about 9 miles from Lehi by I-15. It's open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It's closed Sundays and on major holidays. The phone is 801-225-8538.
The district also runs a construction and demolition landfill in Fairfield, open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Large stumps and logs can go there directly.
Where your load ends up depends on what's in it. Your account manager will confirm the destination and walk you through the fees before delivery.
