Most construction and remodeling debris can go in your container. Georgia's rules and the receiving yard set the limits.
Georgia law keeps whole scrap tires out of landfills unless they've been shredded or chipped first. Used car batteries can't go in with regular waste either. They have to go back to a battery retailer or a recycler.
Atlanta's main construction debris yards are strict about what they take. They turn away household garbage, furniture, mattresses, appliances, tires, batteries, electronics, paint, flammables, liquids, and hazardous materials of any kind. They also refuse yard waste, tree debris, dirt, and textiles.
Asbestos, fuel, and solvents are off limits in a standard dumpster as well. If your cleanout includes furniture or household trash, tell us so we can plan where it goes.
If you're not sure about an item, ask your account manager before it goes in.
