A few local details decide what a dumpster costs in Dallas.

The 15-Yard Dumpster suits a garage cleanout, a flooring swap, or a small roof. It adds room over the 10 without the price of a much larger container.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is a go-to in Dallas for whole-house cleanouts, estate cleanouts, and remodels across several rooms.
The 30-Yard Dumpster fits large renovations, additions, and new home builds that produce a lot of lumber, drywall and packaging.

A dumpster on private property, like your driveway or a building lot, doesn't usually need a permit in Dallas. It's a different story if the container would sit on a City street, a sidewalk or other public ground.
The City of Dallas doesn't post a dumpster or street-use permit online. Street upkeep falls to the City's Public Works divisions, which also handle sewer, stormwater, water and yard debris pickup.
Before you place a container on a City street, call Public Works at 770-443-8110. City Hall is at 129 E. Memorial Drive. If your address is outside City limits, the street may belong to Paulding County instead.

Most household junk and building debris is fine to load. The limits come from Georgia's landfill rules and from the facility that receives your load.
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division requires yard trimmings to be kept apart from other trash and bans them from lined landfills. Grass, leaves and small clippings count. Tree trunks, stumps and limbs from land clearing are treated differently, so ask how to handle them.
The Paulding County Landfill won't take batteries, computer equipment, gas tanks, oil, wet paint, tires or crossties. Dried paint is fine there. Refrigerators and air conditioners carry an extra fee unless you have proof the freon was removed.
On top of that, hazardous waste, liquids, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster.

The Paulding County Landfill is run by the county at 65 County Services Lane, Dallas, GA 30132, just a short drive from downtown. It's open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, 7 a.m. to noon. It's closed on Sundays and major holidays.
The county landfill takes household waste by weight, but it has limits that matter for a remodel. It won't accept construction debris loads larger than 5 cubic yards, and it takes no commercial loads after 4 p.m. or on Saturdays. Proof of residency is required.
