Most household and renovation debris is fine to load. The limits come from Georgia's disposal rules and from what the receiving site accepts.
Georgia bans lead acid batteries, like the ones in cars and trucks, from its disposal sites. It also bans liquid waste from landfills, along with regulated hazardous waste, radioactive waste, and PCB waste. Whole scrap tires can't be landfilled unless they're shredded or chipped.
Yard trimmings are another Georgia rule. Household trash landfills can't accept them, with a few exceptions for certain other landfills, so keep large piles of limbs and brush separate.
The standard exclusions still apply. Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, propane tanks, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster. The City's transfer station also refuses hazardous waste, yard waste, appliances, electronics, metal, tires, oil, and paint.
Roswell residents can take appliances, tires, batteries, electronics, TVs, and motor oil to the City's Recycling Center with a photo ID. If an item seems questionable, ask your account manager before loading it.
