Several things decide your dumpster price in Baldwin.
The container size sets the starting point. Larger sizes cost more, but a container that's too small can lead to a second haul, which costs more than choosing right the first time.
The weight of your debris comes next. Landfills charge by the ton, so plaster, brick, roofing, and tile add up quickly. Furniture and cardboard take up room but don't weigh much.
State charges are part of every ton, too. Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection collects a $2 per ton recycling fee, a $4 per ton disposal fee, and a $0.25 per ton environmental stewardship fee from landfills. You won't see those as separate lines on a quote, but they're built into disposal costs.
The Borough's curbside service has limits that push most projects toward a dumpster. Baldwin's trash and recycling page says the curbside hauler won't take concrete, brick, asphalt, roofing, plaster, drywall, wood, or other construction debris as bulk items. Extra bulk pickups outside your bulk week cost $75 plus a per-item rate.
