The 40-Yard Dumpster is our largest container. It's built for commercial jobs, demolition, and very large cleanouts. Keep in mind that the Borough allows only one container per property on its streets, so large jobs often go on a driveway or lot.

If your dumpster sits entirely on private property, like your driveway or yard, the Borough's dumpster permit generally doesn't apply. Once the container sits on a public street, avenue, or alley, you need Borough approval first.
You apply with the Borough's one-page Dumpster/POD Pre-Authorization Form at the Borough Office, 846 Main Street. The Borough's dumpster ordinance sets the ground rules. The container can't stick out into the travel lane, it needs reflective markings for night traffic, and its wheels must rest on a wood pad at least three-quarters of an inch thick. Only one container per property is allowed on a Borough street. Insurance is part of the approval, too. The ordinance asks for the dumpster company's certificate of insurance naming the Borough, plus proof of your own liability coverage of at least $300,000.00.
A container can stay 30 days, with up to two 30-day extensions, and no more than 90 days in a year except in an emergency. Once full, it must be removed within two days.
