In many cities, a dumpster on private property, like a driveway, needs no permit. Reading is stricter. The City's rule covers dumpsters placed in the public right-of-way and those in view from it, so even a container beside your house may need a permit.
The City of Reading's Temporary Dumpster Permit asks for the licensed hauler, the address, the container size, and your start and end dates.
