The 15-Yard Dumpster handles a garage cleanout, a deck tear-down, or old carpet and flooring from a few rooms. It gives you more space without a big jump in price.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is a common choice in Damascus for emptying a whole house or remodeling several rooms at once. Most family projects fit inside it.

Everyday remodeling and cleanout debris is fine. The limits come from Maryland's landfill rules and from what the county transfer station will take.
Maryland keeps whole tires out of its landfills. The state also keeps separately collected yard waste, such as bagged grass and leaves, out of its solid waste facilities. Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster either.
Mattresses need extra care in Montgomery County. Since July 1, 2026, the Shady Grove Transfer Station only accepts mattresses in commercial loads, like a roll-off, when a residential form proves same-day collection inside the county. A load without that form is turned away, so tell us about any mattress before it goes in.
