The 15-Yard Dumpster fits a kitchen update, a garage cleanout, or new flooring across a few rooms. You get room to spare without paying for a big container.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is a go-to size in Greenville for whole-house cleanouts and remodels that touch several rooms.
The 30-Yard Dumpster is sized for major renovations, additions, and new homes. It takes large amounts of framing lumber, drywall, and mixed debris.

Placing the dumpster on private property, like your driveway or a job site you control, generally means no permit in Greenville. A container on a City street, sidewalk, or parking space is different.
For that, the City of Greenville requires an encroachment permit. Its encroachment permits page has a Dumpsters section with the rules. A contractor may be granted one parking space for a dumpster, and the City says there's currently no fee for these blocking permits. You'll need at least 20 feet of usable street width left after the container and cones are placed. The container has to show the owner's and applicant's names and phone numbers, and a protective mat must go underneath. In the Central Business District, street dumpsters are limited to 12 cubic yards.

South Carolina's e-waste ban has kept electronics out of landfills since July 1, 2011. Greenville County's e-waste page lists computers, printers, TVs, monitors, laptops, and phones. The county takes intact electronics for recycling at its residential centers instead.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster.
