In that case, the Town of Lexington requires an encroachment permit. The Town lists it under Transportation on its online forms page, next to a separate Lane Closure Permit for work that blocks a travel lane.
The Town's general provisions also require that the Engineering Department be told before work starts in the right-of-way, and the permit stays subject to inspection while the container is in place. Plan to have the permit approved before your delivery date.
