The 20-Yard Dumpster covers full-house cleanouts and remodels that spread across several rooms. Many Lorain homeowners go with this size.

In many cities, a dumpster on private property like a driveway needs no permit. Lorain is different. The City's Dumpster Permit application asks where on the property the container will sit and how many days it will stay, so plan on a permit even for a driveway drop.
The application goes through the City's Building, Housing and Planning department at 200 West Erie Avenue, 5th Floor. You'll need two copies of a site plan showing the container's location, and the form is signed off by both the Building Official and a Traffic Official. That traffic review is where a street placement would be looked at.
