Most household and building debris can go in the container. Ohio rules and the landfills that take your load set the limits.
Scrap tires are a good example. Ohio sends accumulated tires to specially licensed tire storage, processing, or recovery sites instead of regular landfills. Keep tires out of your dumpster and mention them when you book.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster either. Car batteries, pesticides, and propane tanks need their own drop-off, and the landfill that takes your load may add a few refusals of its own.
The City also has a rule about dumpsters that belong to someone else. Forest Park doesn't allow people to dump litter, yard waste, or other debris in private dumpsters that aren't theirs. If a neighbor's junk shows up in your container, let us know.
