Several things move the cost of a Dallas dumpster rental up or down.

The 10-Yard Dumpster is the smallest size we carry. It handles a bathroom update, a small closet or garage purge, or a load of broken concrete from a patio or walkway. Dense material hits the weight cap well before the container is full.
The 15-Yard Dumpster fits a kitchen remodel, a garage cleanout, or tearing out carpet and tile across a few rooms. It gives you more space at a modest step up in price.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is a favorite in Dallas for roof replacements on a typical single-story home and for whole-house cleanouts. It's a comfortable fit for most residential jobs.
The 30-Yard Dumpster is sized for major remodels, additions, and new home construction. Choose it when the project throws off a lot of mixed debris.
The 40-Yard Dumpster is our largest option. It's meant for commercial builds, big demolition work, and warehouse or retail cleanouts.

A dumpster set on private property, such as your driveway or a fenced job site, generally doesn't need a City permit. Things change when the container goes into the public right-of-way.
The City of Dallas Transportation and Public Works department handles this through its Right-of-Way Management office. A traffic control permit is required when work closes a traffic lane or blocks a sidewalk or alley. You'll need to include a traffic control plan with drawings that show how cars and people will get around the container.
Applications go through the City's online right-of-way system. The City doesn't list a fee or review time for this permit, so leave extra days before your delivery date.

Most debris from a remodel or cleanout is fine to load. The limits come from Texas landfill rules and from the landfill that receives your container.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality keeps several items out of every municipal landfill. The state's list includes lead-acid car batteries, used motor oil and oil filters, whole tires, liquid waste, and regulated hazardous waste. Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners also need their refrigerant handled before disposal.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster either. McCommas Bluff takes appliances only after refrigerants are removed, and it limits tires, so set those aside and tell us about them when you book.

Most dumpster loads from Pleasant Grove and southeast Dallas go to the McCommas Bluff Landfill at 5100 Youngblood Road, Dallas, TX 75241. The City of Dallas owns and runs it, and it's open to both commercial and residential customers.
The landfill is open Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's closed on Sundays. The City's landfill page explains that loads with loose material must be covered, and uncovered loads pay an added fee.

The City also requires every company that hauls waste in Dallas to hold a City franchise, and City crews handle regular trash at single-family homes and duplexes.
