Most construction and household debris is fine to load. The limits come from standard disposal rules and from what the county landfill will take.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster. Vineland reminds residents that asbestos is hazardous waste and must be prepared and disposed of as such.
The Solid Waste Complex has its own limits. It no longer accepts concrete, asphalt, or bricks, so keep masonry out of a mixed load. It takes white goods, electronics, and tires only from Cumberland County residents, and it charges for tires and refrigerant appliances by the piece.
The City gives you other options for some of these items. The Mill Road site at 1271 South Mill Road offers free drop-off for electronics, used motor oil, and antifreeze, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appliances can be picked up by appointment through the City's Recycling Division at 856-794-4089.
