The 10-Yard Dumpster is our smallest. Use it for concrete, rock, or brick from a patio or flowerbed, since dense loads hit the weight cap first. It's also enough for a bathroom remodel or a small cleanout.
The 15-Yard Dumpster works well for a kitchen remodel, a garage cleanout, or removing tile and carpet across a few rooms. It adds space without jumping to a large container.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is a favorite for whole-house cleanouts and shingle roof tear-offs on single-story homes. Most household jobs fit comfortably.
The 30-Yard Dumpster is sized for major remodels, additions, and new homes. It takes a lot of mixed debris.
The 40-Yard Dumpster is our largest. It's made for commercial builds, big demolition, and warehouse or retail cleanouts.

A dumpster sitting on private property, like your driveway or a job site, generally doesn't need a City permit in San Antonio. If it takes up part of a street lane or sidewalk, a permit applies.
The City's Public Works Right-of-Way Management group issues Lane/Sidewalk Closure Permits for temporary closures of all or part of a lane or sidewalk. The fee is $50 to apply, plus a daily amount based on the square footage you close. A container that sits on the street for several days costs more than a one-day closure.

Most construction and household debris is fine to load. Texas rules and the receiving landfill set the limits.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality bans certain items from every municipal landfill in the state. Its list of prohibited wastes covers car batteries, used motor oil, oil filters, whole tires, liquid waste, and regulated hazardous waste. Refrigerators, freezers, and AC units need their refrigerant handled first.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster either. Set aside tires and appliances, and tell us about them when you book.

Loads from the northeast side usually head to a state-permitted landfill at 7000 E IH 10, San Antonio, TX 78219, a short drive from the Walzem Road area. It's on the state's active landfill list and takes all types of municipal waste.
For construction debris only, there's also a state-permitted landfill at 550 FM 78 in Schertz. Its permit limits it to brush, construction and demolition debris, and similar waste that won't rot.
