A handful of things decide where a Moline job lands in these ranges.
The first is size. Bigger containers cost more, but getting the size right keeps you clear of overage charges and a second haul.
The second is weight. Both county landfills charge by weight, so shingles, plaster, tile, and concrete raise the bill quickly. Let us know about appliances and tires when you book, since the landfills turn them away.
The third is where the container sits. On your driveway, there's no City paperwork. In the street, you'll need a Right of Way Use Permit, and the City's permit form lists a $200 application fee plus a security fund. The security fund is returned after the work area is restored, and the City can waive it.
The last is how the City's own service fits your job. Moline's garbage carts can't take concrete, dirt, or rocks. The City's yard waste page says residents can haul refuse to the county landfill in East Moline for $25 per pickup truck load plus tax. For a remodel that would take many loads, one dumpster is usually easier.
