The 15-Yard Dumpster handles a garage or attic cleanout, a kitchen remodel, or flooring removal. It's a handy step up when a 10-yard won't be enough.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is a common pick in Ithaca for rental turnovers, whole-house cleanouts, and remodels across several rooms. Most home projects fit.

A dumpster on private property, such as your driveway, usually doesn't need a street permit in Ithaca. That changes if the container will occupy any part of a City street or sidewalk.
The City of Ithaca requires a street permit from its Engineering Office to obstruct or occupy a public street or sidewalk. The Building Division lists a curbside dumpster as one reason you'd need one. You'll need proof of insurance and a sketch of where the container goes, and review can take more than a week.
There's a fire safety rule as well. The Ithaca Fire Department must approve any dumpster placed closer than 50 feet to a building. Once issued, the green permit card has to be posted at the site.
