Most construction and household debris is fine. The limits come from Florida's landfill rules and the county's disposal sites.
Florida law bans four kinds of waste from landfills: lead-acid batteries, used oil, yard trash, and white goods like refrigerators, washers, and water heaters. In most of the state, a little yard trash mixed into a load gets a pass. That exception doesn't cover Miami-Dade County, so keep branches, palm fronds, and grass clippings out of a mixed container here.
The usual limits apply, too. Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, propane tanks, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster. The county accepts asbestos only at one landfill, and only by appointment.
Old tires are billed separately by the county, so tell us about them when you book.
