Most construction and cleanout debris is fine to load. Hazardous waste, liquids, solvents, fuel, paint, asbestos, and pressurized cylinders are not, and Florida adds a few rules of its own.
Florida law says whole waste tires can't be buried in a landfill. Cut or shredded tires can be handled, but a whole tire has to go to a tire processor instead.
The state also keeps lead-acid batteries out of landfill disposal, along with white goods, meaning refrigerators, washers, dryers, and water heaters. Those items can still leave your property, they just travel a different route.
The Broward County Landfill has its own limits. It won't take household garbage, hazardous waste, biomedical waste, lead-acid batteries, used oil, or material containing PCBs, and it accepts only waste that started inside Broward County.
Flag appliances, batteries, and tires with your account manager when you book, and we'll make sure the load clears the gate.
