Most remodeling, roofing, and cleanout debris can go in a roll-off. Florida law and the landfill's own rules set the limits.
Under Florida's landfill rules, car and truck batteries, used oil, and white goods like washers, dryers, and refrigerators can't be landfilled. Yard trash is also kept out of lined household-waste landfills.
The Broward County Landfill takes only bulk waste, yard trash, and construction debris. It won't accept household garbage, hazardous waste, medical waste, lead-acid batteries, used oil, or anything containing PCBs.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster either. Pull out appliances and batteries before you load.
If you have a question about a specific item, your account manager can check it before it goes in.
