The 15-Yard Dumpster is sized for a garage cleanout, a flooring job, or a modest roof. You get more space for only a small step up in price.
The 20-Yard Dumpster is a favorite with Wellington homeowners taking on a kitchen remodel or clearing out several rooms at once.

A dumpster parked on private property, like your driveway, generally doesn't need a Village permit in Wellington. The rules apply once any part of the container sits in a right-of-way or easement, such as the curb, the street, or the swale.
Wellington's code says that any work, activity, or structure placed in a Village right-of-way or easement must be reviewed and permitted by the Public Works Department or the Engineering Department. A roll-off at the curb falls under that rule. Routine bagged trash set out the night before pickup is the only everyday exception.
The Village's Guide to Permitting explains how permits are handled, but the Village doesn't list a fee for a container in the right-of-way. Call the Engineering Department at 561-791-4002, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for the fee and review time. Most household and building debris can go in your container. What's left out is set by Florida's disposal rules and by the Solid Waste Authority, which runs the county's disposal sites.
Tires are the big state rule. Florida law says whole waste tires may not be buried in a landfill as final disposal, so they're shredded or recycled instead. Keep tires out of your dumpster unless your account manager has arranged them ahead of time.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos aren't allowed in a standard dumpster. Household chemicals, propane tanks, and car batteries belong at the Authority's Home Chemical and Recycling Center, which shares the Weisman Way site in Royal Palm Beach. Appliances are accepted by the Authority under their own category, so list them when you book.

The Royal Palm Beach Transfer Station is about 5 miles away at 9743 Weisman Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. It's open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. It can't take concrete, block, brick, tile, roofing, construction lumber, dirt, or large stumps.
Those heavier loads go to the North County Landfill at 6330 N Jog Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33412. It's open Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both sites are closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and both share the Authority's main line, 561-697-2700.
A remodel with roofing or tile will likely head to the landfill, while a household cleanout may stay at the transfer station. Your account manager will confirm where your load is going and explain the fees before delivery.

Most debris from remodeling, roofing, and cleanouts is fine, including lumber, drywall, shingles, cabinets, flooring, furniture, and yard waste. Concrete and tile are allowed as well, though they send your load to the landfill instead of the transfer station. If you're not sure about an item, ask your account manager first.
