Most construction and cleanout debris is fine to load. Florida law and the county's disposal sites set the limits.
Florida keeps several items out of landfills: lead-acid batteries, used oil, appliances, and whole tires. Car batteries also can't go to the county's waste-to-energy plants, which burn much of Palm Beach County's garbage.
The county's transfer stations won't accept concrete, block, brick, tile, roofing, lumber, dirt, or large stumps. Those loads go to the landfill instead.
The City's curbside program also refuses many remodeling items, including drywall, flooring, tile, cabinets, roofing, and paint. That's why most Boca Raton remodels need a container.
Hazardous waste, liquids, paint, solvents, fuel, and asbestos can't go in a standard dumpster.
If you're not sure about an item, ask your account manager before loading it.
