Here's what goes into a Patterson dumpster price.
First is the container size. A larger one costs more, but it's usually cheaper than paying for a second haul when a small one fills up.
Second is weight. Stucco, roof tile, concrete, and wet soil are heavy, and the county landfill charges by the ton.
Third is the landfill rate. Stanislaus County's Fink Road rate sheet, effective July 10, 2025, charges $49.68 per ton for normal refuse. That covers household trash, lumber, demolition and construction debris, concrete, asphalt, brick, roofing tile, and sheetrock. Bulky, hard-to-handle items like stumps and large pipe cost more.
Last is placement. A container on your driveway needs no City paperwork, while one in the street needs the City's approval, which adds a permit fee and some lead time.
